Sourcing human blood and other biospecimens for research can be challenging, complex and time consuming.
Cambridge Bioscience supports researchers by providing a complete service for sourcing human blood and tissue samples for research. We work with a carefully selected group of specialist biospecimen providers, each of which meets our demanding standards for ethical sample collection capabilities, storage and shipping processes. Our meticulous approach ensures that we can deliver samples suitable for the most demanding research applications.
Our fresh human blood service is based on a partnership with London-based Research Donors. Research Donors is a HTA licenced and ISO 9001 2015 certified company with Research Ethics (REC) approval as a Research Tissue bank, as well as participating in the UK NEQAS QA scheme. Through this close collaboration, we can provide fresh human blood and derivatives such as buffy coat, PBMCs, plasma and serum from healthy volunteer donors on a same or next day after collection (depending on location).
Other partners specialise in providing biospecimens from both healthy and diseased donors, with a focus on facilitating overnight delivery of "hard to obtain" human tissue and blood samples from a wide range of clinical conditions.
Full resumption of service
Research Donors have fully resumed their blood collection service for all researchers. If you are experiencing blood sourcing challenges, please contact our blood specialists to discuss your requirements.
