Human PBMCs

Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) are a heterogenous mix of white blood cells each having a round nucleus. PBMCs are widely used in research and provide a useful tool for studying a broad range of immune responses in vitro.

Cambridge Bioscience has a close collaboration with a London-based, HTA-licensed clinic, dedicated to the collection and processing of human whole blood to PBMCs for research purposes. PBMCs are processed within 5 hours of blood collection for minimal degradation.

We also offer individual cryopreserved blood cells such as T-cells, dendritic cells and eosinophils.

Collection suspended

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and the need to limit travel and non-essential contact, Research Donors have made the difficult decision to suspend all collections until further notice. Collections will resume as soon as it is safe to do so.
