We have partnered with ZenBio to provide mobilised peripheral blood CD34+ cells for research purposes.
CD34+ progenitor cells are derived from healthy donors that have undergone G-CSF mobilisation to stimulate the bone marrow, which produces a large number of multipotent haematopoietic and progenitor stem cells, and mobilises them into the peripheral blood stream. CD34+ progenitor cells are in a phenotypically undifferentiated state and contain two main cellular sub-populations; haematopoietic and endothelial CD34+ progenitor cells. Once isolated, these freshly prepared CD34+ progenitor cells are immediately cryopreserved.
CD34+ progenitor cells can be used in studies involving directed differentiation into committed types of blood cells and endothelial lineages.

CD34+ progenitor cell pathogen testing
All cryopreserved CD34+ cells are tested negative for HIV-1, HIV-2, HTLV I, HTLV II, Syphilis, CMV, HBV and HCV via PCR. However, no known test can offer complete assurance that the cells are pathogen free. Products are tested and are free from mycoplasma contamination. Proper precautions and biological containment should be taken when handling cells of human origin, due to their potential biohazardous nature. All human based products should be handled at a BSL-2 (Biosafety Level 2) or higher.
To prevent clumping and to maximise viability upon thawing, we strongly suggest the use of our Lymphocyte Medium (LYMPH1, LYMPH-1-50) to thaw these cells, especially if you are using a homemade formulation and not achieving success.
