Rapid ChIP assays: ChIP-IT Express

The ChIP-IT® Express kit from Active Motif utilises a simple protocol to enable researchers to perform ChIP in just one day. Supplied with protein G-coated magnetic beads which have a much lower background than agarose beads, this kit removes the need for pre-clearing or blocking steps and streamlines wash steps to minimise DNA loss. With kits optimised for either sonication or enzymatic digestion available, this kit eliminates common challenges associated with ChIP, such as results which are difficult to interpret.

ChIP-IT Express provides high quality ChIP-seq data

The ChIP-IT Express Kit was used to immunoprecipitate 25 µg chromatin from K-562 cells using 3 µg AbFlex® Histone H3K9ac recombinant antibody. Following ChIP, Illumina®-compatible sequencing libraries were prepared using the Next Gen DNA Library Kit and Next Gen Indexing Kits and sequenced using the NextSeq™ 500. Results show high quality ChIP-seq peaks across a region of chromosome 1.
