This gene encodes a member of a family of neuronal cell surface proteins. Members of this family may act as splice site-specific ligands for beta-neurexins and may be involved in the formation and remodeling of central nervous system synapses. The encoded protein interacts with discs, large (Drosophila) homolog 4 (DLG4) . Mutations in this gene have been associated with autism and Asperger syndrome. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene. Anti-Neuroligin-4 is ideal for research in Neuroscience, including synaptic transmission and GABAergic inhibition, as well as Cell Adhesion. Anti-Neuroligin 4 Alkaline Phosphatase Conjugated Antibody is suitable for Western Blots, Immunofluorescence (Primary) and Immunocytochemistry. Expect a band approximately ~125-130kDa on specific lysates or tissues. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.
