Ketoconazole is a racemic mixture of two enantiomers, levoketoconazole ((2S,4R)-(−)-ketoconazole) and dextroketoconazole ((2R,4S)-(+)-ketoconazole). Ketoconazole is an antifungal agent and a cytochrome P450 inhibitor.
