U-73343, works as a protonophore, is an inactive analog of U-73122 and can be used as a negative control. U-73343 dose-dependently inhibits acid secretion irrespective of the stimulant. U-73122 is a phospholipase C (PLC) and 5-LO (5-lipoxygenase) inhibitor with an IC50 of 1-2.1 µM for PLC[1][2].
