The ZymoBIOMICS™ DNA extraction kits from Zymo Research allow researchers to isolate ultra-pure, inhibitor free DNA from any sample (e.g. faeces, swabs, biofilms, soil, body fluids). Featuring the ZymoBIOMICS lysis system, these kits eliminate bias associated with unequal lysis efficiencies of different organisms (e.g. gram-negative/positive bacteria, fungus, protozoans and algae). These kits also include the Zymo Research OneStep™ PCR Inhibitor removal technology, which enables PCR amplification of DNA derived from inhibitor-rich environmental samples. Isolated DNA is 15-20kb fragments, suitable for microbiomics or metagenomic analyses including PCR, 16s sequencing and shotgun sequencing.
