The DeNovix DS-8X spectrophotometer is an 8-channel spectrophotometer enabling high throughput UV-Vis analysis of your samples – analyse 8 samples in as little as 10 seconds, or a single sample in 2 seconds! This compact, user-friendly and maintenance-free instrument delivers full spectrum UV-Vis analysis, making it ideal for rapid nucleic acid and protein quantification. Every compact, easy-to-use instrument is provided with a two year warranty as standard and a great selection of colours to choose from. The DS-8X+ model comes with an additional built-in cuvette module to enable OD600 and cuvette-based kinetics.

Applications
The DS-8X excels in a wide range of applications through the ease of use, wide dynamic range, and contamination detection of UV-Vis.
- Nucleic acid quantification: quantifies RNA, dsDNA and ssDNA with 260/280 and 260/230 ratios displayed
- Protein quantification: BCA, Bradford, Lowry and 660 nm colorimetric assays optimised for ease of use along with pre-configured A280 and A205 programs for protein and peptide quantification, respectively
- UV-Vis and custom apps: full UV-Vis spectrum (190-840nm) analysis available for more than just nucleic acid and protein
- Kinetics/OD600: OD600 for estimated cell count calculation and cuvette-based kinetics available with the DS-8X+
