A synthetic hexapeptide; increases the expression of the antioxidant genes Nrf2, Keap1, NQO1, and TXNRD1 and decreases hydrogen peroxide-induced senescence of IMR-90 human lung fibroblasts in vitro at 5% v/v; increases the activity of MMP-2 and MMP-9 and the proteasome peptidases LLVY/β5 and LLE/β1 in IMR-90 cells in vitro and reduces the migration of IMR-90 cells in a scratch wound assay at 5% v/v
