An antiallergic agent; inhibits A23187-induced production of PGE2 and PGD2 in isolated rat peritoneal mast cells at 100 µM; inhibits LPS-stimulated production of PGE2 and TXB2 in isolated human monocytes (IC50s = ~3 and ~35 µM, respectively); reduces compound 48/80-induced mast cell degranulation at 500 µM; inhibits VEGF-stimulated proliferation, migration, and tube formation of bovine retinal endothelial cells (IC50s = 22, 18, and 193 µM, respectively); prevents homologous PCA in guinea pigs at 200 mg/kg
