A derivative of curcurmin with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities; inhibits mitogen-induced proliferation of CD4+ T cells, CD8+ T cells, and B cells, as well as concanavalin A-induced secretion of IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, and IFN-γ in isolated human lymphocytes from 1-10 µM; inhibits LPS-induced NO production and expression of iNOS in RAW 264.7 cells from 1-10 µM; inhibits AAPH-induced hemolysis of isolated human RBCs at 10 µM
