A triazole antifungal agent; inhibits the growth of T. rubrum and T. mentagrophytes clinical isolates (MICs of ≤2 to 60 ng/ml) and of C. albicans clinical isolates (MICs of ≤0.5 to >250 ng/ml); inhibits sterol 14α-demethylase and arrests ergosterol biosynthesis at the fungal membrane; inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis in T. mentagrophytes and C. albicans with (IC50s = 7.0 and 0.40 ng/ml, respectfully)
