CBQCA

CBQCA (3-(4-carboxybenzoyl)quinoline-2-carboxaldehyde) reacts specifically with primary amines to form conjugates that can be analyzed by electrophoretic or chromatographic methods. CBQCA also reacts with hydrophilic peptides and amino sugars.  The amine derivatized product (7-aza-1-cyano-5,6-benzisoindole) is highly fluorescent.
