A pyrethroid insecticide; lethal to A. albopictus, A. aegypti, C. quinquefasciatus, and A. quadrimaculatus mosquitoes (LC50s = 0.28, 0.36, 0.12, and 0.27 g/100 ml, respectively); increases lipid peroxidation and decreases activity of SOD and GPx in rat kidney at 64 mg/kg; lethal to rats (LD50 = 640 mg/kg)
