Product Description:
A 5-HT2B and 5-HT2C receptor agonist; induces serotonin release from superfused midbrain synaptosome preparations isolated from wild-type mice, but not 5-HT2B-/- mice, at 0.5 or 1 µM; reduces food intake in starved wild-type mice but not in starved 5-HT2B-/- mice at 3 or 10 mg/kg; reduces body weight gain in wild-type mice when infused at 2.5 mg/kg per day for 35 days
