A benzoxazinoid with antimicrobial and antioxidant activities; active against S. aureus, E. faecalis, E. coli, K. pneumoniae, B. subtilis, and P. aeruginosa, as well as S. cerevisiae, in a disc assay at 2 mg/disc; scavenges DPPH radicals in a cell-free assay (IC50 = 11.31 µg/ml)
