A peptide antagonist of the IL-6 receptor; inhibits IL-6 binding to the IL-6 receptor in a concentration-dependent manner; inhibits IL-6-induced increases in VEGF levels in C-33 A cells and RPMI-8226 B cell lymphocytes at 50 µM; reduces tumor volume in an IL-6-overexpressing C-33 A cervical cancer mouse xenograft at 50 mg/kg every two days; increases LNP glioma targeting and increases survival in a U251 glioblastoma mouse xenograft model when coupled to cysteine and LNP surfaces
