A 29-residue N-terminal analog of GHRH that retains the ability to stimulate GH release; increases serum GH level in rats by approximately 17% compared with saline control after 15 minutes (1 µg/kg, i.v.); increases GH release in pigs (250 ng/kg, i.v.); increases the proliferation of NCI-H727 human bronchial carcinoid cells by 30% and increases VEGF secretion (1 µM); increases FAK phosphorylation and VEGF expression in A549 lung cancer cells (0.1 µM)
