Yeast DNA isolation kits

The Quick-DNA Fungal/Bacterial kits enable the simple and rapid isolation of DNA from tough-to-lyse fungi including A. fumigatus, C. albicans, N. crassa, S. cerevisiae, S. pombe, as well as Gram (+/-) bacteria, algae, and protozoa. With a simple and rapid procedure, the Quick-DNA Fungal/Bacterial kits feature BashingBead™ lysis technology and Fast-Spin column technology for efficient DNA isolation, without the need for organic denaturants or proteinases.

DNA isolated using the Quick-DNA Fungal/Bacterial kits is high quality and structurally intact

DNA isolated from S. cerevisiae (spores) and E. coli using the Quick-DNA Fungal/Bacterial miniprep. Equivalent amounts of yeast and bacteria were processed using the Quick-DNA Fungal/Bacterial miniprep or the kit from Supplier M. Equal volumes of eluted DNA were then analysed in a 0.8 percent (w/v) agarose/ethidium bromide gel. The size marker is a 1 kb ladder (Zymo Research).
