RNA from blood: Quick-RNA

The Quick-RNA™ Whole Blood kit from Zymo Research utilises DNA/RNA Shield™ to enable the rapid isolation of total RNA from whole or partitioned blood, or a cell pellet after red blood cell lysis. Using Zymo-Spin column technology, samples are pre-filtered on the Zymo-Spin IIICG Column, then purified and concentrated on the Zymo-Spin IC Column. Purified RNA can be eluted into as little as 6 µl of RNase-free water and is ready for any downstream applications including RT-PCR and sequencing.

Samples can include up to 1 ml mammalian whole-blood, plasma, or serum. The kit is also compatible with pelleted blood cells (PBMCs, WBCs, buffy coat, pelleted sample from PAXgene™ Blood RNA Tube, etc.) and nucleated blood.

Quick-RNA Whole Blood kit gives high quality RNA

High-quality  RNA  was  extracted  from  human  whole  blood  using  the Quick-RNA  Whole  Blood  Kit.  Blood  was  stored  in  DNA/RNA  Shield  at  ambient  temperatures  for  two  days  prior  to  extraction  (n=4).  RNA  was  visualised  using  the  Agilent    2200  Tapestation® system.
