Quick-16S Sequencing Library Prep Kits

The Quick-16S™ library prep kit range from Zymo Research is designed to simplify your workflow and significantly reduce hands-on time.

The Quick-16S™ Plus NGS Library Prep Kit (V3-V4, UDI) is the fastest and simplest 16s library prep kit available, requiring only 30 minutes hands-on time to convert up to 96 DNA samples to a single, ready-to-sequence 16S rRNA library. Utilising real-time, quantitative PCR (qPCR) rather than endpoint PCR, the Quick-16S Plus NGS Library Prep Kit enables direct quantification of PCR products, eliminating the need for additional library quantification analysis such as TapeStation® analysis or gel electrophoresis. Following pooling by equal volume, a single clean-up of the final library is performed, rather than AMPure® bead-based clean-ups.

Best phylogenetic coverage

A: The Quick-16S Primer Set V1-V2 includes coverage of common human-associated microbes, including Bifiobacterium, Propionibacterium and Chlamydia, which are missed in common V1-V2 or V1-V3 primers. B: The Quick-16S Primer Set V3-V4 provides up to 87% coverage for archaea, organisms commonly found in the human gut. However, the common V3-V4 primers provide 0% coverage for archaea.

High quality NGS library

The workflow has been optimised to minimise amplification bias. Benchmarked performance with ZymoBIOMICS™ Microbial Community DNA Standard. Bacterial composition profiles are accurate with inputs from 100 ng down to 0.01 ng.
