Complement and thromboinflammation assays for SARS-CoV-2 research

Working closely with their collaborators, Hycult Biotech have been examining the role of complement and thromboinflammation in COVID-19 with the aim of identifying the inflammatory processes and validating biomarkers that would be supportive for therapeutic interventions. It is evident that the innate immune system has a pivotal role in relation to the inflammatory storm seen in SARS-CoV-2 infected patients with hyper activation appearing to contribute towards lung damage, whilst microvascular injury of the thromboinflammation pathway has also been observed.
