With wide interest in GLP-1R (Glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor), cell line experts BPS Bioscience have developed the GLP-1R/CRE luciferase reporter HEK293 cell line, a modified HEK293 cell line that expresses firefly luciferase under the control of a cAMP response element (CRE) and the human GLP-1R. Activation of GLP-1R in these cells can be detected by measuring luciferase activity. The functionality of this cell line was confirmed in dose-response assays using the peptide agonists Glucagon-like peptide 1 (7-37), Glucagon-like peptide 1 (7-36) amide, Exendin-4, Lixisenatide, the GLP-1 moiety from dulaglutide, Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, and Retatrutide.
