11-dehydro Thromboxane B2 ELISA

This highly sensitive ELISA enables the quantification of 11-dehydro Thromboxane B2 (TXB2) in urine (without the need for purification) and plasma. Unlike other kits, this 11-dehydro thromboxane B2 ELISA has high cross reactivity with 11-dehydro TXB2 and its main metabolite, 11-dehydro-2,3-dinor thromboxane B2, enabling a more accurate quantification of total systemic thromboxane formation.

NB: 11-dehydro TXB2 is a metabolite of TXB2 that is not formed by platelets or the kidney. The measurement of 11-dehydro TXB2 in plasma or urine will provide a time-integrated indication of TXA2 production and is recommended to estimate TXA2 levels to avoid the measurement complications associated with TXB2.
