Alkaline Phosphatase (AP) is a widely used marker for both mouse and human embryonic stem cells (ES) and embryonic germ cells (EG). Our StemTAG™ Alkaline Phosphatase kits provide an efficient system for monitoring cell differentiation or undifferentiation using the AP marker. StemTAG™ Alkaline Phosphatase Staining Kit. Murine embryonic stem cells (ES-D3) were maintained in an undifferentiated state with LIF. To induce differentiation, LIF was withdrawn over several days. Various differentiation events were observed: cells became flattened and enlarged with reduced proliferation. On day 5, cells were stained according to the assay protocol.
