Product Description:
A 5-HT1B receptor agonist; selectively binds 5-HT1B over 5-HT1A, 5-HT1C, 5-HT1D, and 5-HT2 (Kis = 0.0081, 1.5, 2.9, 1.1, and 7.2 µM, respectively); inhibits potassium-induced GABA release from rat globus pallidus slices at 5.4 µM; reverses reserpine-induced akinesia in a rat model of Parkinson's disease at 110 and 220 nmol/animal; reduces food intake in rats when infused into the pons parabrachial nucleus or the PVN of the hypothalamus (ED50s = 1 and 50 nmol, respectively); reduces the frequency of pursuits, tail rattles, threats, and attack bites in a resident-intruder test in mice
