A prodrug from of amfenac; an inhibitor of PG synthase 1 (IC50 = 64.3 µM); inhibits the production of PGs in isolated rabbit iris/ciliary body; topical application prior to paracentesis reduces protein and PGE2 accumulation in a rabbit model of acute ocular inflammation at 0.1%
