A prodrug form of the active metabolite of clopidogrel; inhibits ADP-, collagen-, and thrombin-induced aggregation of rat platelets ex vivo (ID50s = 4, 4.8, and 2.9 mg/kg); increases tail bleeding time in rats in a dose-dependent manner
