INO-1001 is a potent and selective inhibitor of Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). Shown to inhibit endogenous poly-ADP-ribosyltransferases often present in membrane preparations with minimal effect on bacterial toxin-mediated ADP-ribosylation.
