Arachidonic acid (AA, ARA) is a polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acid 20:4(ω-6). It is structurally related to the saturated arachidic acid found in Cupuaçu butter. It is a precursor to a large family of eicosanoids. Activator for several protein kinase C isotypes. BioVision’s Arachidonic Acid ELISA kit is a competitive ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of Arachidonic Acid in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants.
