Product Description:
A trichothecene mycotoxin and an active metabolite of T-2 toxin; induces cell death (LC50 = 9 µg/ml), reduces proliferation (EC50 = 0.25 µg/ml), and decreases protein and DNA synthesis in primary human fibroblasts at 10 µg/ml; toxic to newly hatched chicks (LD50 = 33.79 mg/kg); reduces feed consumption and weight gain in newly hatched chicks at 40 mg/kg; has been found in Fusarium-contaminated barley kernels
