Viromer® BLUE GAPDH Controls

Viromer® BLUE GAPDH controls are designed for testing the transfection efficiencies and optimization possibilities of Viromer® in your difficult-to-transfect cells! The lyophilized material comes as a vial with a GAPDH siRNA and a second vial which contains a Cy3-labeled CTRL siRNA - both already complexed to Viromer® BLUE. You just need to rehydrate them with the provided buffer and test 3 different conditions to know in which directions your optimization will go. What’s Viromer®? Not a virus. Not a simple polymer. As a synthetic copy of the Influenza virus machinery, Viromer® particles emulate an active endosomal escape through a hydrophobic shift when the pH decreases. It leads to a highly efficient delivery of the payload into the cytosol. What make Viromer® different from other transfection reagents? The complexes formed by Viromer® are quasi-neutral in charge which means the transfection is possible in all cell culture media, with serum and antibiotics. Compared to lipid-based reagents it shows a reduced toxicity and no interaction with the cell physiology. While the endosome escape is often limited with other reagents, challenging cells like primary or stem cells are amenable to transfection by using Viromer®!
