Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CBX3 immobilized on solid support. The epitope recognized by A300-984A maps to a region between residue 133 and the C-terminus (residue 183) of human chromobox homolog 3 using the numbering given in entry NP_009207.2 (GeneID 11335). Immunoglobulin concentration was determined by extinction coefficient: absorbance at 280 nm of 1.4 equals 1.0 mg of IgG.

Detection of human CBX3 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CBX3 antibody A300-984A used for IP at 3 µg/mg lysate. CBX3 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-CBX3 antibodies A300-982A and A300-983A, which recognize upstream epitopes. For blotting immunoprecipitated CBX3, A300-983A was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.
