Product Description:
The research-grade biosimilar is a fully human IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets IL-4Rα and inhibits IL-4 and IL-13 signaling. Both IL-4 and IL-13 play an important role in Th-2 mediated immune response. Their inhibition leads to reduced Type 2 inflammation. The biosimilar was generated in CHO cells using recombinant DNA technology. The original monoclonal antibody received approval from the FDA for the treatment of atopic dermatitis and eczema. Additionally, this antibody received approval to treat patients aged 12 years and above, suffering from moderate-to-severe asthma, and moderate-to-severe eosinophilic asthma, or oral corticosteroid-dependent asthma.
