Human red blood cells

Red blood cells (RBCs) make up approximately 44% of the human blood and can be a valuable tool in investigating several diseases, such as pernicious anaemia, sickle cell anaemia and acanthocytosis as well as malaria, polycythemia, haemoglobinopathies and haemochromatosis.

We can offer both fresh healthy red blood cells (RBCs) from an HTA-licensed and ethically approved clinic, as well frozen packed RBCs from our partner, ZenBio.

Fresh blood collection service resumption

Our blood collection service is currently operating as normal, with additional measures in place to ensure safe donor transport to and from the donation clinic. Please contact our blood specialists for more information and to request a quotation.

These products are for research use only and not for any human diagnostic or therapeutic use. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have necessary licensing and ethics approvals in place for the use, storage and disposal of any human tissue related material supplied by Cambridge Bioscience.
