StemTAG™ Stem Cell Colony Formation Assay enables accurate and high-throughput quantification of stem cell colonies in just 7-10 days with no manual cell counting required. The short incubation time makes assaying transiently transfected cells possible. Using a solubilisation media and CyQuant™ dye to detect cell numbers fluorometrically or colourimetrically, viable colony-forming cells (CFCs) can alternatively be recovered for further culturing and testing. The kit provides quantities to perform 96 tests in a microtitre plate but can be modified for use in other plate formats (see the protocol in material available for download).
