The SNL 76/7 feeder cells from Cell Biolabs are for the support of embryonic stem (ES) or induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells in the undifferentiated state. Derived from a mouse fibroblast STO cell line transformed with neomycin resistance and murine LIF genes, SNL can be used as a feeder cell for ES cell growth and has been recently used in mouse and human iPS culture.
The SNL 76/7 feeder cells are provided in cryovials containing a minimum of 3.0 × 106 SNL feeder cells as determined by morphology, trypan-blue dye exclusion and viable cell count and are tested free of microbial contamination. Cells must be mitotically inactivated prior to the addition of ES or iPS cells.
