GelRed - the safer replacement for ethidium bromide
GelRed is designed as a direct alternative for ethidium bromide for use with a 312/302 nm UV transilluminator (without an optical setting change) for staining dsDNA, ssDNA or RNA in agarose gels or polyacrylamide gels. GelRed is much more sensitive than ethidium bromide and at least as sensitive as or brighter than SYBR® Gold in post gel staining. Unlike SYBR® Gold, GelRed can also be used as a highly sensitive precast gel stain.

GelGreen - the sensitive and stable alternative to SYBR® Green
GelGreen is designed as a direct alternative to SYBR® Green I for staining dsDNA, ssDNA or RNA in agarose gels. Unlike SYBR® dyes which are known to be unstable, GelGreen is hydrolytically and thermally stable and has been shown to be more sensitive than SYBR® Safe. GelGreen is ideally excited using a gel reader equipped with visible light excitation.
