Far-red nuclear counterstains - RedDot™1 and RedDot™2

For staining both live and dead cells, RedDot™ dyes are highly specific and photostable far-red nuclear counterstains from Biotium. RedDot™1 is cell membrane permeable and stains the nuclei of live cells specifically and rapidly. RedDot™2 is cell membrane impermeable and stains the nuclei of fixed and permeabilised cells capable of selectively staining dead cells in the presence of live cells. The RedDot™ dyes have a spectral far-red emission (680 nm) well-separated from many fluorophores making them ideal for multicolour staining applications including microscopy, flow cytometry and cell counting. The dyes can be excited by a range of laser lines including: 488, 532, 543, 568, 594, 633, 635 and 647.
