Cambridge Bioscience offers the enzyme free, directional Expresso® cloning and protein expression systems. Using the Expressioneering® technology, these systems enable the cloning of a gene of interest to the start of expression analysis in less than one day.

Expressioneering® Technology
The Expresso® systems use in vivo homologous recombination to clone PCR amplified DNA into specifically designed expression vectors, removing the need for purification steps and making the system enzyme free. The desired insert is amplified using primers containing an 18 base overlap with the Expresso® expression vector. The unpurified PCR amplicon is then mixed with the pre-processed expression plasmid and high-efficiency competent cells provided and directly plated on appropriate media.

3. Soluble Protein Expression - Expresso® SUMO
Enables fast, easy directional cloning and soluble expression of PCR-amplified genes. Using the pETite® N-His SUMO and pRham™ N-His SUMO vectors, this system enhances the soluble expression of proteins that are otherwise difficult to produce in E. coli such as those that form inclusion bodies or are difficult to express in soluble form.
