CF™488A: superior specific labelling

CF™488A: superior specific labelling

The CF™488A green fluorescent dye gives greater target specificity when bound to antibodies than those labelled with Cy™2 or Alexa Fluor® 488. CF™488A is less highly charged than Alexa Fluor® 488 therefore not distorting the protein isoelectric point and affinity, increasing the signal to noise ratio.CF™488A has similar brightness to Alexa Fluor® 488 whilst reducing spillover into the red channel.

CF™488A technical details
• 490/515 nm Abs/Em Maxima
• 70,000 extinction coefficient
• ~710 molecular weight
• 488 nm excitation laser line
• Direct replacement for Alexa Fluor® 488, DyLight™488, fluorescein (aka FITC, FAM) and Cy™2

Benefits of using CF™488A
• Antibody conjugates show increased sensitivity over competitors
• High photostability
• Water soluble and pH insensitive
• Reduced spillover into red channel compared to Alexa Fluor® 488
