Parkinson's Disease
Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. It is thought to result from the death of dopamine-containing neurons in the substantia nigra region of the midbrain. The pathology of the disease is characterised by the build-up of alpha-synuclein protein into Lewy bodies in neurons, and from insufficient formation and activity of dopamine produced in certain neurons in the midbrain.
Cambridge Bioscience offers antibodies, ELISAs, ORF clones and shRNA to study Parkinson's Disease.
