Heat Shock Proteins
The cell protects itself from cellular stresses such as increased heat exposure or hypoxia through the assistance of heat shock proteins (Hsp’s) such as Hsp72 and Hsp90. Studies have highlighted their importance in cellular processes, including the refolding of mis-folded proteins when cells are exposed to stresses, allowing the cell time to repair itself.
Cambridge Bioscience supplies a range of high quality reagents for heat shock protein research, which include antibodies, ELISAs and recombinant proteins.
