DNA methylation is the principle change occurring during epigenetic regulation at the DNA level. Cambridge Bioscience supply enzymes and standards to assist in the analysis and quantification of DNA methylation, as well as products to monitor DNA methylation status at both the global and the individual base level. In addition, we offer products to investigate the role of 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5-hmC) which has drawn considerable attention as a potential sixth base, but which has until recently been extremely difficult to investigate due to the lack of suitable specific tools.
