Adipocyte-FABP (A-FABP) Research Tools

The adipocyte fatty acid binding protein (A-FABP) is derived from the human FABP4 gene and is localised in adipose tissue. Recent studies involving FABP4 gene deletion in mice have indicated a dominant role for A-FABP in several chronic metabolic diseases like diabetes and atheroscelerosis.
