LumiteinTM Protein Gel Stain is a luminescent dye designed for detecting proteins in polyacrylamide gels. The dye can detect as little as 1 ng or less of proteins, compatibility with both UV and visible light excitation, excellent photostability and a detection linearity range of at least 3 orders of magnitude.

With Lumitein, protein fixation and staining is a single combined 90-minute incubation process. Afterwards, the stained gel is briefly destained and washed, or simply washed in deionized water for 20 minutes before it is ready for viewing/imaging.

Finally, Lumitein protein gel staining is compatible with downstream protein analysis such as mass spectrometry or Edman-based sequencing.

The synthesis of phosphopeptides has witnessed significant advancements in recent years with the introduction of monobenzyl protected-phospho-amino acids, such as Fmoc-Phosphoserine, Fmoc-Phosphothreonine, and Fmoc-Phosphotyrosine.

The use of these phospho-amino acids in standard Fmoc chemistries has resulted in high-yield, ultra-pure phosphopeptides, even in automated solid phase peptide synthesis.

AnaSpec is pleased to offer the same line of phospho-amino acids that are the building blocks for AnaSpec’s world-class phosphopeptides.
