T-Cell Immune Suppression- Myeloid-Derived Suppressor Cells

Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) are a heterogeneous population of cells that expand during cancer, inflammation and infection. MDSCs have been shown to suppress the anti-tumor response to cancer, enabling cancers to evade the body's immune system.

BioLegend offers a range of purified antibodies and fluorescent conjugates, cytokines and chemokines to study MDSCs.

OxiSelect Protein Carbonyl Assay Kits

Cell Biolabs OxiSelectTM Protein Carbonyl Assay Kits
The most common products of protein oxidation in biological samples are the carbonyl derivatives of Pro, Arg, Lys and Thr residues. Such derivatives are chemically stable and serve as markers for oxidative stress in most types of reactive oxygen species.

Cell Biolabs’ OxiSelect™ Protein Carbonyl Assay Kits provide rapid, efficient methods for detection of protein carbonyls. Three assay formats are available: immunoblot, ELISA or spectrophotometer. All formats are suitable for use with purified protein, plasma, serum, or cell lysate samples.

Protein Carbonyl ELISA Kit
• Sensitive: Detects samples as low as 10 μg/ml
• Greater Sample Retention: No concentration/TCA precipitation steps

Protein Carbonyl Immunoblot Kit
• No Molecular Weight Shift: DNPH Derivatization after immunoblotting allows direct comparison of oxidized and non-oxidized protein fingerprint

  • System rapidly tags and converts all small RNAs into detectable cDNA for qPCRSimple and robust procedure
  • Sensitive and quantitative down to picogram amounts of starting total RNA
  • Amenable to high-throughput screening of clinical samples including biopsies and LCM samples

SensoLyte™ 520 HDAC Activity Assay Kit Fluorimetric

Histone deacetylase (HDAC) enzymes modulate gene expression through the deacetylation of lysine residues on histone proteins and act as transcriptional repressors of genes. Based on their role in cell cycling, apoptosis and differentiation, HDACs have been chosen as therapeutic targets for the treatment of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.

The SensoLyte™ 520 HDAC Activity Assay Kit from AnaSpec, provides a convenient, two-step homogeneous procedure for measuring HDAC activity using a cell-permeable fluorogenic substrate. Without a time-consuming cell extraction step, this assay can be used to measure HDAC activity directly in cell culture in a 96-well plate. This kit can also be used for high throughput screening of HDAC inhibitors using extracts or purified enzymes.

AnaSpec also offers the SensoLyte™ 440 HDAC Activity Assay Kit as a cost-effective solution for moderate sensitivity.

Monosan Cytokeratin Antibodies

In the field of diagnostic medicine, antibodies against cytokeratins are instrumental in the distinction of epithelial malignancies from sarcomas and lymphomas of various types.

Cytokeratin subtype expression patterns are now also being used in the distinction of different types of epithelial malignancies. Cytokeratin antibodies are of assistance in the differential diagnosis of tumours using immunohistochemistry on tissue sections, and increasingly in cytopathology and flow cytometric assays.

Large scale, quantitative tools for protein biomarker research from OriGene

The new ProteoScan Cancer Lysate Arrays from OriGene are high-density reverse-phase protein arrays (RPPA, or RPA) assembled from 432 cancer and normal tissue protein lysates. With protein-specific antibodies, ProteoScan Cancer Lysate Arrays enable quantitative identification and validation of protein expression profiles and post-translation modifications associated with 11 types of cancer.

  • 432 tissue lysates from pathologist-verified normal and cancer specimens
  • 11 cancers represented (25 cancer samples +15 normal samples per cancer type)
  • Each sample in 4 dilutions in triplicates for quantitative and statistical analysis
  • Extensive positive and negative controls

TissueScan: qPCR Arrays

Validate Biomarkers Across Hundreds of Tissues in Less Than 2 Hours

TissueScan is a unique qPCR array of first-strand cDNA from hundreds of clinical tumor samples. It provides fast and accurate gene expression profiling across a large number of cancer patient samples. High-quality cDNAs were prepared from well-documented cancer biopsy samples, normalized and assembled into ready-to-use gene expression panels. This alleviates the tedious work of sample collection and RNA/cDNA preparation, while facilitating quick and reliable profiling of gene expression levels across cancer progression stages.

TissueScan combines the high sensitivity and specificity of the RT-PCR methodology with a well-designed multi-sample format. It is an excellent tool for validation of potential cancer markers such as those obtained by microarray analysis.

HNP1-3 and Screening of Colorectal Disease

The new HNP1-3 ELISA kit  is a useful tool as a non invasive method to measure levels of HNP1-3 in stool samples for the diagnosis of colorectal diseases.

Special features of the assay:

  • Quantitative measurement of both natural and recombinant human HNP1-3
  • Tested on non invasive sample types including stool samples.
  • Suitable for use in cell culture medium, plasma, stool and other biological fluids.
  • Standard curve: 41 – 10,000 pg/ml
