Restoration of p53 Activity - PRIMA-1
Cambridge Bioscience offers PRIMA-1, a chemical that restores sequence-specific DNA binding and transactivational activity to mutant p53 proteins at relatively high µM to mM concentrations from Cayman Chemical. PRIMA-1 is a unique anti-oncogenic substance, which via conformational modulation acts to reactivate the apoptotic function of mutant p53. PRIMA-1 represents a novel lead compound that may be further modified to provide more potent therapeutic agents acting via the reactivation mechanism.
Availability
PRIMA-1 is available both as a standalone product and as part our p53 research pack. The p53 pack also includes a phospho p53 (Ser392) antibody, (±)-nutlin-3, a p53 activator working via inhibition of p53/Mdm2 binding and caylin-2, a nutlin analogue with growth enhancing properties that are opposite those of (±)-nutlin-3.
