Lentiviral Packaging, Concentration & Transduction - LentiStarter™
Cambridge Bioscience offer the Lentistarter™ kits for researchers new to lentiviral work. Utilising a third-generation biosafe lentivector system, this highly convenient kit provides all the necessary components for HIV-based packaging, concentration and transduction of up to two 10cm dishes of high titre virus.

LentiStarter™ Component Summary
The LentiStarter™ kit contains the following components for lentiviral packaging, concentration and transduction:
1. Virus packaging: pPACKH1 Packaging Mix (40ul)
Packaging plasmid & pVSV-G envelope vector are used alongside the researchers own viral expression construct to co-transfect the 293TN producer cell lines (purchased separately) generating pantropic lentiviral particles.
2. Virus Concentration: PEG-it ™ concentration solution (5ml)
PEG-it™ concentration solution concentrates lentivirus particles to concentration necessary for transduction. The reagent concentrates lentiviral particles 10-100 fold and requires no specialist equipment such as an ultra-centrifuge.

3. Virus Delivery: TransDux Virus Transduction Reagent (50ul of 200x)
Concentrated Lentivirus particles are mixed with TransDux virus transduction solution to transduce target cells with virus. The solution improves viral delivery and is compatible with many typically hard to infect cells.
